YOUR FIRST VISIT
An invitation. Your address. Your password.
Richard first authorizes you and shares a private invitation. Use it to choose your preferred HopeFans email name. After he activates your mailbox, hosting sends a private password-setup link to your existing email address. Choose your password on the hosting service's secure page, then return here and open your inbox.
Invitation and setup links are personal. Do not forward them. If you did not receive yours, check Spam and contact Richard through your usual trusted channel. This public help page cannot create an account or set a mailbox password.

Enter the complete @hopefans.com address Richard assigned to you and its mailbox password.

Choose Roundcube
If Webmail shows a welcome screen, choose Open under Roundcube. You can choose to open your inbox automatically next time.

Add your assigned address as an IMAP account using the secure settings supplied for your mailbox.
Android phone
Gmail app or Outlook
Choose an Other / IMAP account. The Gmail phone app can handle an outside mailbox; this does not turn HopeFans email into a Google account.
Windows or Mac
Outlook, Thunderbird or Apple Mail on Mac
Add a separate IMAP account. Your normal personal email can remain in the same app.

What settings do I use in a mail app?
Ask Richard for your mailbox's cPanel → Email Accounts → Connect Devices → Secure SSL/TLS Settings. The exact server name must match what hosting shows.

- Incoming mail
- IMAP over SSL/TLS, normally port 993
- Outgoing mail
- SMTP over SSL/TLS, normally port 465; authentication required
These are common secure ports, not a substitute for your mailbox's actual settings. Use IMAP to keep mail on your devices in sync. Official device setup instructions ↗
Is Team Login the same as Email Login?
No. Email Login opens your mailbox. Team Login opens the WordPress Team Center for people with separately approved website access. Each uses its own account and password; you do not need website editing access to read your email.
I forgot my password or cannot sign in
Check that you entered the full email address and the mailbox password. Contact Richard through your usual trusted channel to confirm access or arrange a reset. Avoid repeated guesses if the service reports a lockout.
Can I create my own HopeFans address?
HopeFans email addresses are assigned with Richard's approval. There is no public mailbox sign-up on this website. Contact Richard to discuss whether you need an address.
How do I send, reply and organize messages?
In Roundcube, choose Compose to write a new message. Open a message and choose Reply to answer its sender. Use folders for ministry topics and check your Spam folder when an expected message is missing. Check recipients before sending sensitive ministry information.
What should I do on a shared computer?
Sign out of Webmail when finished. Sign out of Team Login separately if you also used the website. Keep mailbox passwords private and follow Richard's guidance for ministry correspondence.
